This open forum is intended to give you the opportunity to discuss the roles that will be coming available and consider whether you wish to take any of them on.

YBA Competition

Over 65 Men’s Pairs,

Southern Group.

Our commiserations go to Richard O’Halloran and Les Bentley who were knocked out of their Group on Tuesday 24th June at Thirsk Athletic BC.

We thank them for representing our club so well in this competition.

Bowls England Competition

Yorkshire: Area Semi-Final

Commiserations to our teams who were knocked out at the semi-final stage on 22nd June.

Our Gentlemen’s Captain reports:

 

“We lost by just 4 shots overall despite 4 players missing. It was a very close game on both rinks in wet and windy conditions.

Our subs played very well, which shows we have got some strength in depth. Hopefully we can go one better next year”

“Men's Triples”

Yorkshire: Zone 4 Group C Final

Ian Brickley, Tom Bielby and Lee Coutts have been given a walkover in the Yorkshire Zone 4C Finals.

The winners of all the Yorkshire Zones/Sub Zones now go forward to the quarter-final to take place at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesday 1st July at York Railway Sports & Social Club.

Please get to York if you can and give them your support.

YBA Competition

Over 65 Men’s Fours,

Southern Group.

Our congratulations go to Gary Preston Richard O’Halloran Frank Devaney and Les Bentley. On Monday 23rd June at Thirsk Athletic BC they played against Northallerton, Thirsk and Harrogate (!) winning all three of their matches.

They now proceed to the final of this competition which will be played on Sunday 20th July at York Railway Bowls & Social Club.
