Friday 3 May: Bateson League
The first match of the season was played at home between our two home teams – Valley Gardens and Pinewood – under very wet conditions. The match was drawn on rinks - 2/2 - but Valley Gardens gained the aggregate, giving Valley Gardens 5 points and Pinewoods 2 points.
Saturday 4 May: YBA Zone 4: Men’s Singles
Lee Coutts emerged as a first-round victor in a closely fought away match against Grant Evans of Kirby Malzeard, played under damp conditions. Lee won with an excellent last wood 21/20.
