Alas when play finished Harrogate,, losing on four of the five rinks, were defeated by Dunnington. But congratulations must go to Frank Devaney who played in the 2 wood singles and had a convincing 19-to-10-point win in his game. Well done Frank!!
After the match tales of the games were swapped and we bid our visitors farewell after tea and light refreshments wishing them luck in the next round.
Everyone who played enjoyed the format and look forward to the clubs participation in this new competition again next year.
Our thank go to Derek Chappel for acting as umpire for the day and to our two markers for the singles matches - Ian Watling and Richard O'Halloran and, of course, to Ann O'Halloran for opening the bar.
Well done everyone and thanks for your support.
