"On Friday 1st November our members gathered for the Annual Lunch and Awards Presentation. We had more than 60 attending, who enjoyed pre-lunch drinks...
...followed by lunch.
Then the highlight of the afternoon, the presentation of awards.
It was great to see a number of our newer members joining us with some accepting both runners up awards and winning trophies.
These were presented by the Ladies Captain, Margaret Bailey, with a little help from John Drake. Our thanks to John for setting up the trophies, cups and coasters prior to the lunch.

The Bill Bentall Novices Trophy
The Monkey is received with magnanimity (enough said).
It was an honour to have Kay Gordon presenting the new Gordons Open Singles cup.
John Drake, Competitions Secretary hands the cup to Kay for presentation.
The cup was accepted by semi-finalist Douglas McWee on behalf of winner Lee Coutts.
The Club Championship trophies for the Ladies and Gents were the final trophies presented. Winner Christine McWee received the Fleming Cup, and the President's Cup, with its sparkling new trophy was collected by finalist Simon Hamer, on behalf of the winner, Gary Preston.
The runner up gets the trophy! (Temporarily).
It was a very enjoyable afternoon amongst friends, with lots of good humour."
