Bowls Yorkshire County Mixed Triples.
We’re through to the finals.
We had three teams at this county mixed triples competition.
All three Harrogate teams won their respective groups. Ian B, Tom B and Jane C played a team from York Railway B&SC in their semi-final and won convincingly. Gary P, Paul M and Janet P very narrowly beat Mark P, Paul J and Pauline B by just 1 shot, in the other semi-final.
The final was a very close affair, Ian needed to move the jack into the ditch to take the match into an extra end. He hit the jack, but it went to one of Janet's woods instead of the ditch, so that the winners were Gary, Paul and Janet who will play in the county finals on the weekend of July 25th/26th at Guisborough Priory Bowling Club.
